FLFL VR

VR is amazing, but its full immersive experience isn’t available to everyone.

Currently in 2017, you can either get a cheap Google Cardboard where you turn your head around to view content or an expensive Vive/Oculus headset (plus gaming PC and room space) for full hand and movement controls.

FLFL (fa-la-fel) solves this by hacking a Google Cardboard with 3D printed hardware and using webVR on mobile browsers as the software. FLFL can be assembled by anyone at little cost and can also be 3D printed as a single form factor.

Role and Technology

I hacked the Google Cardboard form factor as well as modeled the controllers in Tinkercad and 3D printed them.
